Der Pufferspeicher dient zum Einem der hydraulischen Trennung zweier Pumpenkreisläufe, biete aber zum Anderem auch einen Energiepuffer um die Erzeugung der Energie (Warm- oder Kaltwasser) auf bestimmte Tageszeiten zu legen (Tag/Nachtstrom).
